How School Swimming works…

Find out a little more about School Swimming…

Ensuring their pupils have access to effective swimming provision has always been difficult for schools. With high costs, lost learning time and the need to travel to swimming, it can be logistically challenging to manage, and often results in limited pupils accessing swimming each year. However, as a national requirement, schools have had no option but to take on the headaches to find swimming provision. Until now…

Our School Swimming programme has changed how schools across Lancashire can access swimming provision for their pupils. Since April 2022, we have worked in over 70 primary schools across Lancashire, giving them the option to bring swimming lessons to them, teach life saving water safety skills, and reach the national requirements for school swimming.

But how does it work?

First up, we’ll do a site visit to determine the best place for the pool to be when at your school. During this visit we will talk through the whole process, discuss the electrical and water needs and answer any questions.

Ahead of your swimming starting, our team will build our 10m x 5m swimming pool on your school site, which is housed inside a secure marquee. The pool is then filled, heated and treated ready for your pupils to swim!

One of our Level 2 Swimming Teachers and a lifeguard will be on site to deliver your swimming provision. Every lesson can be tailored to each group of pupils, allowing you to target specific children based on their swimming needs and abilities.

Having the pool on your school site means you can give the whole school life saving swimming lessons that will help them build water confidence and improve their swimming ability.

We have engaged thousands of children in swimming, and your pupils could be next!
