Your career background:
I first started coaching at the age of 16, I volunteered and soon started having more roles helping out in communities providing football sessions. Until I got my role at Pro Sport Coaching where I have gained a lot more knowledge and experience of coaching, I also coach my own youth teams in football and I am hoping to progress through my coaching badges.
Why did you want to go into sports coaching?
From an early age I have always loved and had a huge interest in sports, jumping at every opportunity to take part and play whether it’s football, basketball or cricket. So growing up and learning about sports myself, to then being able to teach and coach children a range of different sports is amazing!
What are your interests outside of work?
My interests outside of work are very football based, I enjoy playing a lot as well as watching as many games as I can fit in. I am now blessed with a little one, who takes up a lot of my time, but I still manage to fit the odd match in and play some Call of Duty most nights!
What are you passionate about?
I’m very passionate about sports and make sure that every session I deliver or take part in, are the best they can be, so that the children and participants can have fun as well as learn and develop.
What is your favourite thing about your job?
My favourite thing about the job is providing sport and sessions that children enjoy playing and knowing at the same time they are learning. I also like how some of the schools provide good competition for their pupils, to play against other schools when it comes to sports such as Football.
