Your career background:
After completing Sixth Form I decided to go into coaching with Sweeney Multisports where I spent my first year of Sport Coaching in schools. I learnt a lot whilst shadowing other coaches and enjoyed my first year there and now I’m presently at Pro Sport.
Why did you want to go into sports coaching?
I wanted to get into sports coaching because from an early age I always wanted to have a job which related to sport. I always wanted to be able to give children a positive effect whilst participating in sport whether that be helping them develop as sporting participants or generally help them grow as an individual too.
What are your interests outside of work?
My interests outside of work are very sports based. I like to play football on a Saturday afternoon, or if I’m not playing and have the chance I’ll go down to Ewood park and watch my team Blackburn Rovers play, beside sports I like to spend time with family and friends .
What are you passionate about?
I’m very passionate about helping children progress, whether that be through sport or just in general and help them become the best person that they can be in their future life.
What is your favourite thing about your job?
My favourite thing about the job is being able to go to different schools and meet different types of people whether that be meeting new teachers or classes. I also like being able to have the chance to help children progress and teach them new games.
