Your career background:
I started coaching after college part-time whilst working at a SEN school in Burnley. I then since joined Pro Sport and have done coaching certificates in a variety of different sports including Football, Cricket, Dodgeball, Ultimate Frisbee, OAA and multi-sports.
Why did you want to go into sports coaching?
Sports is something I have always enjoyed, whether it be playing or watching so to do a job that revolves around sport is ideal for me.
What are your interests outside of work?
I enjoy to go on runs and love a bike ride (only if the weather is right!), I also enjoy getting stuck into a good TV series and I occasionally like to play on the Xbox.
I also enjoy (well sometimes) watching the football team. I support Blackburn Rovers and always enjoy meeting up with friends and having a good time.
What are you passionate about?
I am passionate about competition and fun. I believe that children should always want to be the best that they can be whatever they do but I also believe it should always be tailored so they can have fun. That way, they are more likely to carry on participating.
What is your favourite thing about your job?
Providing a safe and fun environment for children to be able to showcase their skills in a variety of sports, hoping to build a child’s confidence to help them in later life.
